welcome to our pod
you'll love it here!
Lyra Learning Labs is a NEW secular homeschool learning option for the Sioux Falls area!
Our pod meets three times a week, providing enriching experiences both in our private space and out in the community on Discovery Days. Elementary-aged children learn side by side, supported by the caring adults in their lives.
We are currently enrolling families with children in grades K–5*, but we welcome interest from families with older or younger children. Please fill out the interest form. If enough demand is shown, we’ll open additional pods tailored to other age groups
*Siblings outside of the K-5 age range will be considered for enrollment to retain the family & community atmosphere!

Our philosophy

Inclusive learning
-
We believe every child deserves an environment where their unique voice is celebrated and valued. Our approach integrates diverse perspectives, ensuring that learning materials, activities, and interactions resonate with students from all backgrounds. By fostering a welcoming and supportive community, we empower children to express themselves freely, learn from each other, and develop the empathy and understanding that are essential for lifelong success.

collective growth
-
Learning is a shared journey, and at Lyra, we emphasize the power of collective growth. Through collaborative projects, group discussions, and cooperative problem-solving, every learner contributes to a vibrant network of ideas and experiences. This approach not only accelerates academic progress but also builds strong social bonds and instills a sense of belonging, ensuring that our students thrive together and support each other’s development.

Hands-on experiences
-
Our hands-on approach is designed to engage students through active exploration, experimentation, and real-world experiences. Whether it’s through interactive learning labs, creative art projects, or dynamic field trips, Lyra is built around immersive activities that spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking. This practical, experiential learning method not only deepens understanding but also equips our students with the skills they need to innovate and solve problems.

Learning Labs
Monday & Friday - 9:30am-12:30pm
On Mondays & Wednesdays, we will meet at our lab (Sioux Falls location TBD) for 3 hours, Our Learning Labs are immersive sessions where children come together in a shared, creative space to engage in hands-on, interactive learning. Here, they explore subjects such as art, science, and social-emotional skills through collaborative projects and guided discussions. Parents and caregivers encourage every child to experiment, share ideas, and develop critical thinking in a nurturing, inclusive environment. These labs serve as the foundation of our program, fostering an atmosphere where curiosity and creativity thrive together.
